Shani is a Certified Family Law Specialist and highly accomplished family law advocate. With the utmost discretion and attention to detail, she represents sophisticated clients in all types of cases, including dissolution of marriage, parentage, custody, post-judgment modifications, prenuptial agreements, and domestic violence restraining orders. She has extensive experience litigating difficult custody issues and high asset dissolution cases, among other family law matters. Though she thrives in a courtroom setting, Shani is equally skilled at negotiating settlements for her clients, helping them achieve their short-term and long-term goals without litigation.

In addition to carefully focusing on legal and strategic issues, Shani also recognizes the complex interpersonal dynamics at play in nearly every family law matter. She prides herself on providing the highest level of client service, understanding that she is often representing her clients during a particularly difficult time in their lives. With the extra attention that she gives her clients, as well as her compassionate, patient approach to communication, Shani helps her clients feel both supported and confident that they have a highly effective advocate in their corner.

Shani’s past experience includes working at other highly regarded boutique family law firms in the Los Angeles area. She was also a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Aviva K. Bobb in Los Angeles.

Shani teaches Community Property to upper level students at USC Gould Law School. In the community, Shani has volunteered at the Levitt Quinn Family Law Center, Harriett Buhai Center, and served five years on the Executive Board of the PTA of Lanai Road Elementary School, which is a National Blue Ribbon School. In addition, she interviews college applicants for the University of Pennsylvania as part of the university’s Alumni Interview Program.
