Annie Banks represents high-net-worth clients on a wide range of issues in sophisticated marital dissolution and parentage actions, including custody disputes, support issues, complex financial analyses, and property matters. Annie has extensive experience in pre-trial litigation and has litigated multiple cases through trial, both in court and in private arbitration. She is equally adept at settling cases through mediation and other forms of ADR. Annie is highly skilled at analyzing financial records and strategizing with financial experts, forensic accountants, and valuation professionals to translate financial analysis into legal arguments and expert testimony.
Prior to joining Elkins Kalt, Annie practiced at an elite trial firm in Los Angeles, handling highly publicized “bet-the-company” actions, multi-billion-dollar business disputes, and white collar and securities fraud defenses. During law school, Annie served as the Chief Managing Editor of the UCLA Law Review, and received Masin and Dean’s awards for Family Law, Community Property, Wills and Trusts, Contracts, and Accounting. Prior to attending law school, Annie was a tenured college math faculty member.
