Sean is litigation counsel to clients in numerous industries, including real estate, private equity, retail, hospitality, securities, energy, and entertainment.  His clients range from private individuals to Fortune 500 companies.  He has broad experience litigating cases from initiation through trial in state and federal courts around the country, as well as in private arbitration.  He also prides himself on helping clients resolve legal issues before they ripen into litigation.  Before joining the firm, Sean clerked for the Hon. Joseph R. Goodwin of the U.S. District Court, Southern District of West Virginia.

Prevailed at trial in taxation dispute with Internal Revenue Service concerning whether owners of S corporations could deduct losses from waste processing businesses.

Trial team member in multi-party CERCLA case where firm represented the lead defendant in a case involving nearly $1 billion in remediation costs.

Represented owner of film and television studio in litigation to recover environmental insurance proceeds.

Represented e-vapor product manufacturer in state product liability actions and nationwide federal multidistrict litigation.

Represented pharmaceutical manufacturer in state and federal multidistrict litigation regarding prescription opioid medications.

Represented numerous consumer product and food retailers in California Proposition 65 litigation.

Represented aerospace manufacturer concerning land use agreements and groundwater contamination litigation.

Represented a California county in dispute over disposal of wastewater sewage sludge.
