John represents clients across a broad spectrum of substantial and complex real estate and business transactions, including the acquisition, development, disposition, leasing and financing of office, industrial, commercial and retail properties, and the acquisition and disposition of manufacturing and other equipment.  Clients include developers and other landlords, as well as tenants, wealthy individuals and entrepreneurs, operating across a wide array of industries.

Career Highlights

Represented the landlord in the negotiation of a 500,000+ square feet creative office lease with a Fortune 10 company.

Ongoing representation of the owner of a former automobile manufacturing plant converted to a 1,700,000+ square foot industrial park on 340 acres, with additional land for development.

Represented a joint venture between a developer and a life insurance company in its sale of a 600,000+ square foot industrial park.

Represented a Nasdaq-listed manufacturer seller/tenant in a sale leaseback transaction with a national pension fund advisor.

Lead non-bankruptcy counsel to investors who acquired an industrial building from a solar panel manufacturer bankruptcy debtor; negotiated agreements for the decommissioning and cleanup of the former solar panel manufacturing operation; negotiated the acquisition of an adjacent land parcel from the local governing agency for additional parking; and negotiated leases for the entire subdivided building.

Represented investors assembling land adjacent to an Indian reservation and casino; negotiated new entitlements for the land; and negotiated the sale of the project in bulk to a joint venture between a national home builder and the Indian tribe.

Ongoing representation of national logistics company in the leasing of 10,000,000+ square feet of industrial space around the country.

Leasing counsel to the owner of an 11,500,000+ square foot national portfolio of industrial properties.
