When David joined Elkins Kalt in 2011, he brought with him a wealth of knowledge for our work in the hospitality and leisure industry. Over the course of his career, David has helped owners and developers construct, acquire, recapitalize, and sell hotels throughout the United States. With the industry’s particular nuances – employees, insurance, food and liquor licensing, and more – he works closely with clients to negotiate franchise and management agreements with all the major hotel brands and operators.
Beyond hotels, David is well-versed in real estate finance across numerous industries, and often represents lenders and owners in mezzanine and senior secured financings, acquisitions and dispositions of real property, and structuring joint ventures.
