Tom has been a family law practitioner for over 30 years and a certified appellate specialist for over 16 years. Tom’s dedication and experience in family law have led to many high profile victories at the appellate level. Appellate practice is different— what happens in appellate courts is instrumental in defining new principles in family law. Tom’s success at the appellate level means he not only has won hard-fought victories for clients, but he has established new precedent that influences family law and policy across the entire State of California.

Tom has received an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell — the highest rating for professional competency and adherence to ethical standards. He has also been recognized as a Super Lawyer by Los Angeles Magazine for the past 10 years.

Believing that continuing education is crucial for the family law legal community, Tom has authored articles for a variety of legal journals and publications, and has given lectures on numerous family law topics. He also volunteers as a Fee Arbitrator for the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
