Karen brings experience as a media insider to Elkins Kalt; prior to law school, she was a journalist covering the entertainment, media, and biotechnology industries for Bloomberg News. Karen combines her interests and knowledge to focus on commercial litigation, working with clients on matters involving breach of contract, securities, copyright infringement and more. During law school, she served as an editor of the California Law Review and the Berkeley Technology Law Journal and was a teaching assistant in the Legal Research and Writing program. She also was a finalist of the James Patterson McBaine Honors Moot Court Competition and served as an extern for the Hon. Ronald S. W. Lew of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
