J.D., University of California, Berkeley School of Law, Associate Editor of the Berkeley Women’s Law Journal

Andrea became a practicing lawyer in 1987, and brings a unique combination of courtroom experience and negotiation skills to the practice of family law. She was formerly Of Counsel at an international law firm where she handled complex litigation cases from inception through trial, arbitration and/or mediation. She also held the position of Adjunct Professor of Law at Whittier Law School for many years during which she taught courses in advanced trial advocacy, entertainment law, and agency & partnership, and served as head of the school’s Interviewing, Counseling & Negotiation Program.

Andrea’s practice includes the full range of family law matters including dissolutions, paternity actions, post-dissolution modifications and domestic abuse. She has particular expertise in child custody proceedings due to her former work as Minor’s Counsel and in support/valuation matters due to her business school background and history of handling complex financial litigation requiring extensive forensic testimony.

Andrea is committed to providing solutions which meet each client’s individual objectives. She believes that the ability to easily reach and communicate with one’s family lawyer is vital to a beneficial outcome. Whenever prudent, she will attempt to negotiate and settle matters outside the courtroom, but is prepared to advocate if necessary. Her extensive litigation experience can and does serve as a significant advantage.
