Alisa Freundlich has been a real estate attorney in California for over 25 years and has extensive legal and business experience in complex commercial real estate transactions including purchase and sale, leasing, finance, joint ventures and land use. In addition to her legal practice, she is also a mediator and expert witness on real estate matters. Her experience spans virtually every property type including office, industrial, golf course, multifamily, residential, hotel, self-storage, retail and land development.

Prior to joining Elkins Kalt, she was the principal of Highroad Investment Group, LLC, a real estate investment and consulting firm based in Los Angeles, CA where she advised high net worth individuals on real estate portfolio operations and structure. For over 8 year, Ms. Freundlich served as the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of a privately held Investment Company based in Beverly Hills, CA where she oversaw all acquisitions, finance, leasing and operations on a diverse commercial real estate portfolio. In 2001 and 2002 she was named as one of the top women in Commercial Real Estate in Southern California.

Alisa has been Of Counsel with several prominent Los Angeles Law Firms where she practiced in the areas of real estate transactions, finance, leasing and land use. She has expertise with distressed assets, loan workouts and restructuring. Clients rely on her substantial legal expertise and business acumen to help negotiate successful solutions to complex issues.

As a mediator, Alisa brings her practical sensibilities and her extensive legal background together in a facilitative style to help individuals and organizations resolve their differences. She specializes in mediating complex commercial and real estate cases including construction defect, insurance, partnership/joint venture, breach of contract and other business matters.

Ms. Freundlich is active in a variety of philanthropic causes and sits on several charitable boards. In 2010, she journeyed to Rwanda with a Pepperdine team to teach a mediation intensive training for the Rwandan government in connection with their registration of land title records.
